Versaphor is the new Applications division of Cresset BMD Ltd. When we talked to our customers, we realized that our Field-based molecular comparison technology, which has been used by Computational Chemists for years, was very useful to other groups in pharmaceutical and biotech companies. We set up Versaphor to bring the power of Fields to a wider range of drug discovery professionals including Patent Attorneys, In-Licensing, Safety Teams and Medicinal Chemists.

Versaphor is creating new products aimed specifically at the needs of each of these markets so you can find better answers to your chemistry questions and make quicker, better informed decisions about which molecules to invest time, effort and capital in. Versaphor’s technology is based on the scientific developments of XEDs and Fields made by Dr Andy Vinter whilst at Cambridge University and working as a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry. These have been developed by Cresset BMD Ltd over the last 8 years. Cresset’s in-house expertise encompasses medicinal, synthetic, combinatorial, and physical chemistry combined with in-depth computational skills in molecular modelling, QSAR and programming.

We are located in BioPark Hertfordshire in Welwyn Garden City, UK, just north of London and close to London’s Luton and Stansted airports.
