The most complete search for diverse, innovative bioisosteres
What is FieldScreen?
FieldScreen helps you to find a structurally diverse set of novel lead-like molecules with the same biological activity as your screening hit or lead. FieldScreen helps you come up with new ideas for novels syntheses, and switch between scaffolds when the lead series becomes blocked.
FieldScreen is a ligand-based virtual screening system that returns a set of novel bioisosteres with or without knowledge of the target’s protein structure. FieldScreen compares the Fields surrounding your lead in a given 3D conformation against a database of Field pharmacophores created from several million drug-like compounds.
Molecules that can present the same Field pattern, whether or not they have a similar 2D structure, are likely to be active against the same biological target. FieldScreen helps Medicinal Chemists to:
- Increase the diversity of a program’s leads and backups
- Find novel bioisosteres to expand into new areas of chemistry
- Identify potential bioisosteres to external drugs or in-licensing candidates already in your corporate collection
- Improve the lead-like properties of hits
- Design diverse libraries of compounds for synthesis and/or biological screening
FieldScreen is excellent for replacing peptide with non-peptide and steroid with non-steroid leads, as well as finding novel leads from screening hits or known drug structures. In addition to our large compound library and our partner databases, you can add your in-house compound collections to FieldScreen using its Database Generator tool.
